I'm a lifelong reader and my book buying has gotten out of control!  Thank Goodness I found a way to "buy" books without increasing the need for bookshelves in my house. 

I have no preferred genre.  I read literary fiction, chick lit, mysteries, and am currently obsessed with vampire books: Laurell K. Hamilton, the Queen Betsy series, Women of the Otherworld (though those aren't vamps.) 

My favorite authors are Jan Karon, Jodi Picoult, Laurell K. Hamilton, Pearl Cleage and the ubiquitous J.K. Rowling.  I collect "house to be a housewife" books, "personal grooming" booksand cook books - all pre-1960s.  So far, I don't have many but they are so fun.
